Why replace 12V 20Ah lead acid battery
Ultra-long cycle life. Its designed cycle life is more than 6,000 deep cycles. And what about the lead-acid battery of the same specification? Usually it is only 300-500 cycles. This means that within the life cycle of one of our lithium iron phosphate batteries, you may need to replace the lead-acid battery 6 to 10 times or even more.
Higher usable capacity. Our lithium iron phosphate battery is a brand new A-grade cell, absolutely not a disassembled cell. It can be safely deep discharged, usually providing 90% or even close to 100% of its nominal 20Ah capacity.
Reduced weight. This lithium iron phosphate battery weighs only about 1/3 of the same size lead-acid battery. It can be easily installed and carried in applications such as golf trolleys, RVs, boats or scooters.
Maintenance-free. You no longer need to check electrolyte levels, clean corroded terminals, or perform equalization charges. Our lithium iron phosphate batteries are completely sealed and do not require any routine maintenance.
High safety. The chemical properties of lithium iron phosphate are much safer than lead acid. There is no risk of acid leakage, and no explosive hydrogen gas is produced when charging. If the device power is 10W, the battery duration is: 240Wh / 10W = 24H.
In short, the usage time depends on the power of the load.
Not recommended. LiFePO4 batteries require a dedicated charger because its charging voltage curve and cut-off conditions are different from those of lead-acid batteries. Using an unmatched charger may result in undercharging, overcharging, or even damage to the battery.
For this 20Ah battery, we recommend using a dedicated lithium iron phosphate charger with a charging current between 4A and 10A (i.e. 0.2C to 0.5C). This can achieve a good balance between charging speed and protecting battery life. Please refer to the product specification for the specific maximum allowable charging current.
Yes, you can. The battery management system (BMS) inside our 12V 20Ah lithium iron phosphate battery supports both series and parallel operation.
Series connection can increase voltage (e.g. 2 series connection for a 24V system, up to 16 series connection is supported, contact us for details).
Parallel connection can increase capacity (e.g. 2 parallel connection for a 12V 40Ah system, up to 4 parallel connection is supported).
