When you install a new battery, be sure to secure it, especially in a moving RV or boat. Never connect the positive and negative poles in reverse, use thick enough cables, and tighten the connectors. Although it does not produce harmful gases like lead acid, it is best to install it in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.
Try to avoid leaving the battery completely discharged or fully charged for a long time. If it is not used for a long time, it is best to charge it to about 50% before storage.
Check regularly. Although it is not necessary to operate frequently, it is always good to check every few months whether the terminal blocks are still tight and whether there are any signs of looseness or corrosion.
Do not exceed the maximum charge and discharge current of the battery for a long time. For example, for our 280Ah battery, the recommended maximum discharge current is 0.5C 140A.
