Hongyitai 12.8V 9Ah lithium iron phosphate battery installation is simple, but you need to pay attention to the following points:

Physical size and terminals. This battery is designed according to the standard size of 5.94 * 2.56 * 3.7 inches, and the terminal type is also F2. Generally speaking, as long as the lead-acid battery you originally used is also around 12V 9Ah, the size and terminals match, it is usually no problem to directly replace it physically.

Charger. We do not recommend continuing to use lead-acid battery chargers, because the 13.8V floating charge method is different from that of LFP batteries. This will cause the battery to be undercharged and will also affect the battery’s cycle life.

12V 9Ah lithium battery combination

Not all lithium iron phosphate batteries can be connected in series (to increase voltage) or in parallel (to increase capacity) at will. This mainly depends on the design of the battery protection board (BMS) inside the battery.

You must use new batteries of the same brand, model, capacity, and preferably from the same batch. You must not mix old and new batteries, or different models.

We support up to 16 series, 3.2V * 16 = 51.2V. We support up to 4 parallel, 9Ah * 4 = 36Ah. Please contact us for confirmation before connecting in series or parallel.

FAQs for 12.8V 9Ah Battery

How long the battery lasts (meaning how long it lasts on a single charge) depends entirely on the load of the device you connect it to.

A device that draws less power (e.g. 0.5A) might last closer to 18 hours.

The charging time depends mainly on the output current of the charger you use.

Using a charger with 1A output, it takes about 9-11 hours to fully charge.

Use a lithium iron phosphate battery charger, the recommended charging current is 1.8A - 4.5A, and connect correctly: connect the positive pole (+, usually red) of the charger to the positive pole (+) of the battery, and the negative pole (-, usually black) to the negative pole (-) of the battery. Charge in a well-ventilated, dry environment at room temperature away from flammable materials.
